I have concentrated on Skritter character writing for the purpose of this challenge and all the times given are based on the time in my Skritter progress reports. I didn’t really get close to my original target of 1 hour per day. 1 hour of study in total (including reading, listening and speaking) is about what I can realistically sustain and so in general I couldn’t give the whole hour to Skritter. My main goal was to learn how to write the traditional form (I have previously only learnt simplified and without much focus on writing, just reading) of characters that I have learnt (or are learning) and so I think I have made some significant progress in that aim.

My main aim to learn to write traditional forms of Chinese vocabulary that I have recently studied from the New Practical Chinese reader textbook (Volume 6). I have only studied simplified characters before and without much focus on writing. My target is 20 hours overall based 1 hour per day and I am using Skritter via the iPhone app. Although I didn’t meet my target on the first day (I only managed 42 minutes) but I am going to keep aiming for 60 minutes until the challenge finishes.
