Chinesepod again for me - however I have strayed into upper intermediate lessons as little English is used so I feel like I am stretching my listening abilities more and for that reason it encourages me to listen to the lessons through more times and my comprehension increases each time (still missing 40% though!) and the challenge of it actually gives me a boost!

The amount of Chinese per episode skyrockets from that level and up, too, and it's worth several times as much as the easier lessons, which at least used to contain mostly English. A tip is to ignore the dialogue and the new words they're focusing on and instead concentrate on the language they use to talk about the new stuff. I used to do that with the advanced lessons and I found that the talk between the hosts in the studio was much more interesting than the dialogues and vocabulary they wanted to teach.
