In the end, I got to Chapter 46 of 恐怖高校. This challenge was very helpful for my reading stamina, and I learned at least 25 words down pat and without effort. As for the rest of my vocab, I will keep refreshing it through study.

Up to Chapter 38 of 恐怖高校. I learned (unrelated to Chinese) that Biohazard is in fact the 7th game in the Resident Evil series. I'd always thought they were two different franchises. But back to the Chinese. I have learned a lot from this web novel and am so glad I took part in this challenge.

I reached Chapter 34 of 恐怖高校. I'm now thinking that reading until the 50th chapter may be a better goal.

I am halfway through Chapter 29 of 恐怖高校. I'm realizing that although the setup of the story is cheesy, the logic behind everything is strong. The main characters have begun to lie and keep secrets. The excuses and logic they use to hide their tracks are compelling and unexpected.

Halfway through Chapter 24 恐怖高校. My reading stamina has definitely improved over the elapsed span of this challenge. (A correction for myself: 生化危机 is Biohazard, not Resident Evil! I'd forgotten Biohazard existed)

恐怖高校. I am almost done with Chapter 20, which had been my goal for the end of this challenge. I'm adjusting my goal to reaching Chapter 25.

I continued reading 恐怖高校. I am halfway through Chapter 17 and am getting by a bit more smoothly with vocab learned from prior chapters.

I got to halfway through the 11th chapter of 恐怖高校。I forgot to note down that yesterday, I spent about half of my time reading lessons on DuChinese. I tried reading some in traditional characters too, since I am interested in learning those eventually.

I got to Chapter 8 of 恐怖高校。The students in the story have just been transported into the video game Resident Evil II (生化危机2) and have to survive the zombies for five hours. The students are not very bright and make bad choices, which makes the reading ever more enjoyable.

I read more 恐怖高校 and finished the 6th chapter of my 12-20 chapter goal. Tomorrow I will need to do extra vocabulary review. It turns out that at this 'horror university' you can get video game-style power-ups (like werewolf powers or dark magic) to aid you in fighting your classmates. Top quality literature!

I read more 恐怖高校 today. I also spent time on a website called 今日头条 reading people's personal definitions and explanations of the saying “刚则易折，柔则长存。”

I finished chapter 2/1276 of 恐怖高校 today-- almost there! Haha.
After I log this, I'm going to put on some music and practice the new characters I learned. The author doesn't really use words above a high-school level so everything I'm learning is applicable to general fiction reading.

I continued reading the 恐怖高校 web novel. Turns out it is 1276 chapters long! I think I'll set my stopping point at a modest 12 to 20 chapters. Until then, I will keep practicing the vocabulary I learn to help me with future novels.

For this challenge I'm focusing on working through a random webnovel from the site 全本小说网，called 恐怖高校. I'm enjoying the somewhat cheesy elements to the horror (a blood-red sky; ashy black clouds; people slumped on the ground and unmoving!!) To be honest, the amount of idioms make this books slightly above 'extensive reading' level for me. However, the author reuses words and I've been studying the new characters I see so I can keep up in the future.
