Immersive Chinese Units (120-129) & Unit extra 12. LCTS Lessons 31AB, 32A, 32B, & 33AB
I liked today a whole lot better, not too difficult, but I still had to pay attention, to do the shadowing. Surprisingly, my comprehension was better, even with the new material.

LCTS Lessons 27AB 4x, 28AB 3x, 30AB 3x (there wasn't a 29). Immersive Chinese Units 103-110, & Unit 10 Extra.
Lesson 27 was nuts, way way to fast.
I've lowered my expectations, to a more reasonable and attainable goal. If I stik to it, I can make it.

Immersive Chinese lessons (100 - 112) LCTS Shadowing Beginner lessons (23A, 23B, 24AB, 25A, 25B, & 26AB)
This is getting pretty tough, I think I need to rethink my goal, I'm not having much fun lately.

LCTS lessons (4-18) Real-Life Chinese for Beginners, lessons (3) Transcripts and Vocabulary lists, Beginners lessons 21A, 22AB, 23A. The first group of lessons were pretty good, not very difficult, but the transcripts and Vocab were just the opposite, pretty much over my head. The second group "BEGINNER" was at first tough, but on the second round of SHADOWING, I was able to see a big comprehension improvement. [They recommend shadowing while listening.]

IMMERSIVE CHINESE Units (80-89) & Unit Extra 8. LCTS Lessons 2(1-3) dialogues and vocabulary.
If anyone is interested, All the LCTS lessons are downloadable, and they have downloadable flashcards.
250 minutes 4.17h
Immersive Chinese units 80-89 plus unit "extra8." I'm finding listening to sentences repeatedly after awhile, I get mentally lost to what I am listening to, I have to take a break and refocus.

Listened to all the same units 54-69 of IMMERSIVE CHINESE, and did much better; not perfect, but good progress.

TeaTime Chinese "Joy of Life" Ep. 1 &2 Immersive Chinese Units 54-69. Joy of Life was very difficult to understand. I didn't like the English subtitles appearing slightly before the Chinese subtitles. It was a distraction.
You might enjoy Teatime Chinese in a podcast format so you don’t have the subtitles popping up at you.

IMMERSIVE CHINESE UNITS 54-69 Hearing the sentences 3 times you would think that is enough, but half of the time, I still don't catch the meaning.
180 minutes 3.0h
Moved on to different units (54-69) Didn't listen as attentively as the first few days.
翟海籣 Thank you for all the info on Learning Chinese Through Stories.

I listened to the same group of sentences again today. I recognize more than before, but I'm not satisfied with my results. Tomorrow I try some new sentences.
Does anyone know how to take advantage of the Free podcasts mentioned in Olle's email?
Not really. I think it has a lot of good content, but I haven’t pursued it much. I found the LCTS website to be somewhat difficult to maneuver through. The link from Olle’s article (“For the duration of the challenge, access transcripts and word lists for free”) does take you to their site, and from there I think you have to join the site, then “purchase”(for free) the Transcripts and Vocabulary lists. Once you get there, you will see a list of podcasts by levels. Within those categories you will access the podcast and another audio segment featuring the explanation of the podcast contents. I didn’t go any further, as I had thought it was going to be a written list of the vocabulary, which it looks like it isn’t. Now, I know that, though, I’ll probably go back and look into it further. It looks like it would be good listening practice to have vocabulary explained verbally in simpler language.

I repeated yesterdays sentences, just a little bit more. I am still having trouble understanding about half of them, but the good news is I do understand the other half. :)
180 minutes 3.0h
I don't know if this counts, I am listening passively, to a series of 25 related sentences, and then it switches to another series of 25 related sentences, etc. Each sentence is played 3 times in succession. All in all I listen to 11 sets of (25) sentences.
