Not much today but I reached my goal!

all kinds of stuff. Of course now at this point I am thinking of MORE things to translate... ANNOYING! at the end of the month! Next year!

Translated a prayer and some other fun stuff.

Do I get a special prize for being the ONLY one on Hacking Chinese for the WHOLE MONTH?! Come on people. I learned a lot this month. So many ways to make translation more fun and interesting. OK not as interesting as writing or reading or listening...but still it's an important skill!

Great new game kinda. On anki, I get a sentence in English, translate it into Chinese. Then if I'm wrong I hit the red button, come up again in 3 minutes. If I'm right, then hit green. If I'm wrong it will come up again. Memory is amazing!

I did really well with my sentences, and then I had to translate a recipe for my mother-in-law of rice and beans in the rice cooker... she is curious on how to do it.

Am I the only one here? I'll get first place and last place!

Finally made a did a GIMKIT Translation game. I was shown a sentence in Chinese, then I had to choose 1 of 4 English translations. Nice. Simple but good.

Journal, anki, developing a GIMKIT translation game for myself. Sentence in CHinese, choose the correct English translation, A B C or D!? Then VICE versa. English sentence, figure out one of the 4 Chinese sentences works well. Challenging?

I helped my mother in law download Google translate on her Chinese phone.

Not much but I got a bit done. We played a good game from ANKI where my 16y/o read the Chinese sentence and we quickly translated the sentence into English. It was fun!

Tons done today while I waited for the boy at football practice.

I used those lists you find on Xiao Hong Shu and tried to figure out what the Chinese was even though I had an English saying but it was exactly perfect. Learned a lot!

Just a little bit today. I helped my parents on SIGNAL talk with my Chinese mother-in-law.

recorded a journal in English then translated it into Chinese. Spoke to a store clerk for my mother in law about them having only 1 shoe she liked, not a pair.
