It was great to get back into the swing of practicing writing characters. It may not be the highest on my list of priorities, but I think it has lots of long term benefits, and I enjoy it quite a bit as well. Looking forward to the next challenge!

I added another chapter today. I have certainly forgotten many of the words I haven't practiced in a while, but it doesn't feel like I am having to learn them again; I just need to be reminded.

Part of learning characters is studying their make up. For this I've been using Yellow Bridge online, which has a horrible ad - filled interface, but great features including nice-looking stroke animations, and offline, I've been using Rick Harbaugh's Chinese Characters: A Genealogy and Dictionary which I would heartily recommend to anyone studying Chinese.

Used Anki to practice writing. In addition to the words added during the last challenge, I have added the characters from the first three chapters of NPCR 2. I plan to add some more chapters in the coming weeks.
