What is Realtime Mandarin? AI censorship only a breath away...if not already here. Yes to prayer.

local Chinese newspaper:classified ads, rentals, commercial property, business, and something about cash transfers. My plan is to keep this edition as a KEY because a lot of the information stays the same in the sections. This month I will go through the entire newspaper with my Post-Its. Also, I found out this newspaper comes out 2x a week on Fridays/Tuesdays , it costs 45$ for an ad that runs for a month and 108$ for 3 months.

I have been inspired by this post all day! Reading is not my strength, but then 朗读 is so much fun, so I am starting with reading a paragraph the hard way, then reading it in pinyin just for the joy of the sounds... hugshugs from nz

Thanks Janette-I appreciate the encouragement! I really want to cross a reading threshold this month! So glad Olle does these challenges.

Sunday lesson topic-Overcoming a lack of faith(I think), I'm reading through the lesson and looking up words I don't using my lingua and mandarin-spot for quick word lookups that I put on post it notes on the page-I can do 1 page fairly well with about 20 words a page I don't know-it's just enough that I can comprehend most of it but still grasping for the main point possibly, then read Zoe's audio transcript, the article is about the life of a censor in China-this one I can get through about a paragraph with not knowing about 7-10 words-so it's slow going. I'm trying out a technique I use with my dyslexic students https://dyslexichelp.org/why-do-dyslexic-people-need-blue-paper/ and trying to read all my materials I print out on blue paper.
