I finally finished 《三体》!! This is a huge milestone for me: my first Chinese novel I didn't already know the plot of. Now, I intend to reward myself by watching the TV adaptions. Now, do I start with the Iqiyi adaption or the Netflix one?

I'm definitely not going to hit my original goal, but I'm still really excited about the progress I've made. I've been picking up and putting down 《三体》for more than a year now, and I'm 11 pages away from the end! I'll definitely finish before the end of the challenge. This will be the first native Chinese novel I've read, and the first novel in Chinese I picked up without already knowing the story.
I've always looked up all unfamiliar characters before because I thought skipping over them meant I wasn't learning anything. The blog post introducing this challenge encouraged me to read without looking everything up and trust that the language exposure was still beneficial. It's a lot more enjoyable this way, and I see myself reading more Chinese in the future. I've already bought book 2 and 3 in the trilogy!

Continued reading 三体. I've always looked up every character I didn't know before reading the HC blog post on extensive reading, and I have to say it's a lot more enjoyable not to have to stop all the time.

I'm finishing up 三体。I've been holding off watching the TV shows until I finish. If I keep on track, I'll finish before the end of the challenge!
