Been using Skritter to break down the characters. But wondering what to do with components that don't show up.

Some color characters are hard to breakdown into components, except "Green SILK is put on the pigs SNOUT to help it drink WATER"

These sessions were done throughout the day.(I just went by my Skritter clock) I have move on from Radical to characters that i have studied in readings only. Using your components method is working for me.

I am still learning the 100 Basic Radicals. The hardest part for me is usually remembering the 1st stroke. Often times that 1st stroke( or a first 2-3) bring back the whole character. I am guessing that these are like the english alphabet and just need to be drilled it. No amount of logic will help. I have noticed that there are a few Radicals that seem to be the combination of 2 other Radicals. Why not just remember them as their base? We would never consider "ck" as a single letter (expect when phonics is considered).

Skritter has marked my Radical list as completed. but i feel there are still quite a few i would recall by sight, and even more that i won't be able to write. But i guess the main point is to get the hang of the writing style and to be able to use mnemonics
