Slow Chinese number 158. To reach my goal I finished with a higher level listening. After listening 3 times I could understand most of the ideas and many complete sentences. This means that after 2 weeks of concentrating on lower level text to hear every word, my skill has definitely improved.

Chinese Learn Online, lesson 191, 7 minutes, listened 3 times, missed 5 phrases. Also did all listen and write exercises.

Chinese Learn Online lesson 190; 3 times; misheard 4 phrases; well known vocabulary. Also listen and repeated dialogue.

Chinese Learn Online lesson 189; 5 minutes; listened 3 times; missed 12 phrases. However because the lesson was talking about cheng yu although I could hear and knew most of the sentences I wasn't completely clear about the meaning until I checked the translation.

Chinese Learn Online: lesson 188. Longer lesson 12 minutes. Slow speed dialogue and some translation during lesson. So only listened twice. missed 8 phrases after slow speed. Missed a lot more at normal speed.

Chinese Learn Online: lesson 187. 9 minutes long. missed 7 phrases. Dialogue was repeated at slow speed.

Chinese Learn Online; lesson 186. As usual listened 3 times then checked with transcript. 4 minute dialogue: missed 11 phrases. I include accuracy of vocab even if I understand the meaning. e.g 要介绍 I heard as 要教你

Chinese Learn Online; lesson 185. Listened 3 times, 6 minutes each, and missed or misunderstood 10 phrases.

I'm continuing the listening challenge but being more consistent than last time. I will do one lesson per day from Chinese Learn Online. Level 4; lesson 184; I listened 3 times then checked with the transcript. In 9 minutes I didn't hear or misunderstood 16 phrases.
