Back to FluentU intermediate level to increase my listening confidence. Some new vocab is really sinking in. I really like FluentU.
Also going back to some workbook dialogues to read the textbook while listening to the audio. I've definitely got to do more review in general.

Listened to some Slow Chinese podcasts and watched cheesy period drama. They are both above my level but I wanted to be entertained and enjoy myself while practicing listening to the vocab I already know and maybe pick up some new phrases. Got to keep things interesting.

Listened to the same workbook dialogues I listened to the day before. It was a bit easier this time around but not by much. So now I'm wondering how I could have forgotten so much of what I had spent so much time studying. I wonder if I had relied too much on reading along while listening to the dialogues when I first learned them. Whatever the reason is, I realize listening is a skill that needs to be practiced.

Listened to workbook dialogues while taking a walk. I knew this would be my only free time today. Unless I squeeze some more time in while on the bus. I just re-read Ollie's article about time boxing understand the concept better now. I'm inspired to fit in listening when I can and use spare moments in between to set things up to make it easier for myself.

Listened to more workbook dialogues and passages. Made me realize I need to review them once in a while because I forgot a surprising amount of words.
Also listened to several podcasts from Slow Chinese, some of them several times. Some are better than others but overall I'm very happy to have learned about this resource and have already purchased some character/pinyin transcripts from them.

Textbook dialogues. A good and humbling review.

FluentU intermediate videos. I also purchased the basic upgrade so I can see characters and pinyin subtitles. I don't read along word for word but concentrate on the dialogue and look at the characters/pinyin if I don't know the word.

Spent half the time on FluentU and the other half on Popup Chinese. With the former the intermediate and upper intermediate are great for my level. For the latter I need to listen to the beginner level to be able to comprehend about 80% of the dialogue.
45 minutes 0.75h
Watched another episode of cheesy period drama. I can understand many phrases and words but overall it is far above my level. Thus I will supplement more listening time to things closer to my level, which will make me feel more confident about my listening and comprehension abilities.

Watched episode of cheesy period drama. It is entertaining and the language isn't too complex.

Farted around on FluentU with different types of listening exercises-dialogues, commercials, pop songs.

Listening to workbook dialogues. It was a bit tiring because it was a bit above my level and I tried to read along with it. I'll go back to dialogues/passages slightly below my level and refrain from reading along and just ... listen...
