A bit of Du Chinese; some Pleco readers (burning through the 1500 word one as fast as I can manage), and about 5 minutes of Comics (Yumi's Cells)

Finished another short story in the Pleco Readers; this time about a husband who hasn't come home for four years, and when he finally does he's bringing home a 3 year old boy born of his mistress to throw in his wife's face. Fun times! Also more korean comics in Chinese.

Pleco Graded readers- anybody else noting how super depressing it was to live in China in the 1970s/80s was? These stories are bleak, with just tiny grace notes to make them bearable...

Comic book- Yumi's Cells (柔美的細胞小將）a fun comic- you can read it all online in English and Chinese. It's got a very European-comics circa 1965 kinda feel to it, but it's originally Korean.

Pleco reader- this time the 1500 vocab-range Chinese Graded Reader; These are good in that they have audio books attached, and are contemporary literature. A bit bad for me in that Chinese contemporary literature is largely just plain depressing.

A mix of textbook, comic books and Du Chinese reading; a bit scattered today, but something's better than nothing...

Was reading a Korean comic book called "True Beauty" in English/ 國語名字：女神降臨. It's a silly high school soap opera- but the translation (vetted by the locals) is very accurate to Taiwanese spoken Mandarin.
