Michael F.Why CCTV? Because it is Chinese speaking news and shows, and it was the first source to come to mind when doing 'listening' practice. You have actual Chinese speakers of China speaking. Plus, they have interesting food documentaries I like 😊
Tessa HallHa! That one you linked /did/ seem interesting! I was just curious about why you picked CCTV4 out of the the crazy 17(?) different CCTV channels. But I get it now. Hoping I too can get to a point where I can understand people talking that fast before long.
Michael F.I don't understand alot of what is being said, but for a few words here and there. My reading skill is better than my listening skill. Since listening is most important, it is best that I listen to what they (Native Speaking Chinese( would listen to so that my ears become acclimated to the sound :) Usually, I will pick the videos on CCTV4 that seem interesting.
