AND, done. Still a huge backlog of cards to clear, but we made it until this point! Do not stop right now! Continue the momentum.

Continue the momentum! Congrats on finishing the challenge!

Well, regardless of my birthday today, I am exhausted... Yet, the important part is that at least I made 1 pomodoro session. What it does matter at the very end, is practicing or reviewing something in Chinese every day. It doesn't matter if it is just 5 minutes. This will add up in the very long run. Do not lose the momentum!!! If you lose it, it will be HARD, to get it back. If you feel you are extremely tired or procrastinating, just review 1 minute. 1% is better than 0%.

I totally forgot to report my progress today omg. As usual, I started to repeat on a Tian Zi book, words that I know for SURE I will forget if I do not practice them. Sadly, I couldn't study on October 28. There was a massive thunderstorm and lights went off until the next day. Amazing job to everything that was consistent on the Challenge!

Good to know I got on a paper the day and the pomodoros that I made haha. Lately, I forget to report back here about my progress. It focused more on Skritter, clearing up some backlog of words.

I focused mainly to finish the Skritter list of the book mentioned earlier. More than 350 words to learn! Darn, I cannot wait to know all the words. Keep it up, everyone! We are almost there!

Thanks for the encouragement!

Skritter reviews plus I am working on a massive deck of the book "New Practical Chinese Reading". It focuses mainly on Simplified Chinese. Yet, at the very end of the book, there is a vocabulary list of all the lessons. Simplified and Traditional alike!

Usual Skritter and Word learning. Nice run! (And forgot to post it).

Was a productive run. I did not advance in the HSK 1 list, as I feel that it's better to practice the vocabulary that I know and words that I tend to struggle with. Cleared my backlog Skritter deck. (It feels so good to see that deck at 0 haha).

I took a different approach this time. I took a 田字 paper notebook and started to write words that I found very hard to memorize. I didn’t feel the time. I will try to experiment more ways in how to retain vocabulary. Oh, and watched a Taiwanese love movie 💕. I recognized a lot of words that I studied previously on Skritter!

All good. Mostly reviewed my deck list that was pending. Prefer to learn properly rather than advancing just for completion sake.

I’m too tired to write much. Reviewed Skritter only.

Almost forgot to report my progress today haha. It was pretty smooth. I advanced into the 101-110 section of the HSK 1 list and... hell it's getting harder to memorize the words. At this point, it's preferable to keep reviewing previous HSK 1 tiers and move slowly towards the next tiers. Quality > Quantity. Keep the great work amazing people!

Damn, work has been demanding lately. I tried to compensate for the day lost by increasing the Pomodoro sessions. I reviewed 150 words, and it's back to 0! After this, I moved to learn 91-100 words of the HSK 1 list. There were some familiar characters, but a huge load of new words. It's incredible how effective is to learn words. They appear frequently in podcasts and music! haha this is a huge motivation for me. Cannot wait to see the results at the end of the month! Keep it up, everyone.

Sadly I could not study on October 15 :(. (Work was pretty heavy that day). I kinda make it up today with 3 Pomodoro sessions of 25 minutes each. I decided to advance in the HSK 1 list, currently on the 71-80 section. Completed almost 300 reviews with an average retention rate of 88-90%. I am starting to recognize tons of patterns! I wish you all the best in the challenge, as always!

The Pomodoro method is extremely effective to learn! The queue is back to 0 from 250ish words. The more I advance in the HSK 1 list, the more difficult it becomes. Yet, it's necessary! As always, keep on going!

Learn something new, Pomodoro technique! 👍

2 sessions of 25 minutes. (I think it's more manageable for me). I focused heavily on reviewing the new words for the HSK word list. There are a TON of new words that I need to continue to practice. I have wrote them down in a notebook so I can review and tackle them specifically. Let's hope for the best! Good luck with your challenge! :)

I did not have too much willing power to study beyond this point... I got stuck in the bucket 71-80 of the HSK list on Skritter. I got almost 90% or the new words, and learning them will take some time. Better being honest here haha.

90% is excellent retention - well done New Dawn Taiwan! Keep it up!!

Hey, thanks for the kind words! The same goes for you! n.n

Same as usual! 30-minute blocks with 5-minute breaks. I continued in reviewing Skritter pending cards, like 71. After that, I moved to learn more HSK 1 words. (Let me tell you, there are some really crazy to memorize haha). Thankfully, with the Hacking Chinese and Skritter Youtube videos, it is incredibly easy and fun to learn complicated characters! Keep it up! Do not do it for the price. Do it for creating a healthy habit and learn once and for all Mandarin n.n

Was an excellent run! 1 hour divided into 30 minutes, with 5 minutes break between the blocks. This way I could retain the focus and continue practicing. I completed the entire list of radicals, now at almost half of the HSK 1 vocabulary on Skritter. There are a lot of words that I tend to confuse, yet, with practice, this will lessen with time. Overall, was a nice study session. Looking forward to continuing on this new habit! Good luck to everyone n.n
