I talked, then read the first story from Xiao Ming (MC). The story especially felt very fluent - I could read pretty fluidly, which had not been the case for the other stories I've read. My speech actually felt better too - I felt confident enough about speaking that I could think about using the correct grammar and not go super slowly. (my grammar is not great when speaking :)

Read the last story out of Zhou Haisheng, then recorded myself speaking - I didn't plan this time! And I think it went better - maybe I am improving. :) Although I found it's really hard to describe "skin" in Chinese when you don't know the word for it!

Read aloud and recorded it.
Then tried to describe a test I'm going to take soon.... And Chinese grammar - it was really hard! Probably because my grammar is not great....
30 minutes 0.5h
read aloud from an easy graded reader (MC Zhou Haisheng - the first story).
35 minutes 0.58h
Recorded again. I feel like it's getting easier. This time the recording was extra long!
35 minutes 0.58h
Recorded a voice diary and a "how to learn Chinese" segment. I think the second one was actually better. I could use more words because I was not just talking about my days and my feelings. It was also a familiar topic.
30 minutes 0.5h
recording a voice diary. Also am learning a few new words because I am trying to express things I don't know how to say, so I have to research them!
25 minutes 0.42h
audio diary
30 minutes 0.5h
practicing and recording a voice diary entry.

Yeah I found when I talk myself about my day it’s definitely a lot more challenging this discussing certain topics. So I like to also try to talk about something I listened or read recently and that seems to be working well.
