Continue reading 5 on a Treasure island. Finished Ch1, started Ch2. Really enjoying reading it since it has a wider use of characters and words than a standard graded reader, but still using mostly characters from the first set of 1500 that I know to date. Have added a few new characters to my 'to learn' list.

Started reading 5 on a treasure island, by Enid Blyton. Read half of the first chapter. This is a graded English reader (therefore simplified English language). It is targeted at Chinese people wanting to learn English. The Chinese translation of each paragraph is available as a lookup at the end of the book. So basically as Chinese readers, we read the Chinese paragraphs, in the second half of the book. There are tons of these books available on Kobo, just go to the Kobo site and search for 五伙伴宝岛历险. You should find this book, as well as links to tons of other popular classic children's books. There are traditional and simplified versions available. I would put the level at more or less HSK 4.

Interesting. I never thought that English graded readers would have this Chinese part. I'm going to check this out. Thanks for the tip!
