somewhat distracted listening to TLI New Practical Chinese Discs 3-4

started re-listening to my old Taipei language Institute "New Practical Chinese" language tapes, or rather CDs, Disc 3

up to 12 podcasts now. Should really check the text, but I'm enjoying muddling through. Maybe I can try just writing down words I don't understand, and looking them up. That would be less "cheating" and more realistic than checking the texts.

9 podcasts... Still don't understand all from the first. But still enjoy trying. Slow Chinese is great.

Listened to the 6 first Slow Chinese podcasts *again* I had cursorily checked the texts (and translations), so I could follow the newer podcasts better. There's a nice feedback loop of laziness: I'm too lazy to look up all the vocabulary, so i don't "spoil" the pure listening exprerience much. But I will go back and check the text eventually, because some parts that I don't get stick out more and more and make me curious.
